How many keratin pellets do I need for a full head?
Share
Short answer: 10 g of keratin pellets makes about 100 bonds (capsules). A typical full head of keratin extensions uses 100–200 strands, so plan on 10–20 g of keratin per application, plus a small reserve for corrections.
Quick calculator
| Look you want | Strands | Keratin needed |
|---|---|---|
| Volume top-up / thin areas | 50–80 | 5–8 g |
| Standard full head | 100–150 | 10–15 g |
| Maximum volume and length | 150–200+ | 15–20+ g |
What changes the amount
- Bond size. Micro and nano bonds use less keratin per bond; standard bonds use more.
- Method. A correction (re-bonding) needs keratin for every strand you re-attach.
- Hair weight. Count strands, not grams of hair.
Why pellet quality matters
HAIRPRO keratin is produced in-house by extrusion from Italian raw material; we have been making keratin granules since 2010. Even granule size means even melting in the tongs at a working temperature of 180–200 °C, and bonds that hold for 10–14 weeks with 95% moisture resistance.
